“Every North Carolina teen deserves to celebrate these special milestones like prom without encountering the dangers of underage drinking,” said Rodney Poole, Talk it Out NC Ambassador. “By creating environments where safety and fun coexist, we empower our youth to make healthy decisions and create lasting memories, all while providing opportunities for parents to have much-needed conversations about the risks of underage drinking.”
The Dine & Shine Prom Night Sweepstakes is part of Talk it Out NC’s broader effort to reduce underage drinking across the state and create a healthier, safer environment for North Carolina youth. Prom season is the perfect time for families to start conversations about drinking alcohol and the dangers of underage drinking. Open dialogues can help prevent teen alcohol misuse. Parents can find helpful conversation starters on the Talk it Out NC website.
