Description: The Brunswick Sheriff’s Charitable Foundation has established the Anchor Initiative Fund to help the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office combat and treat the effects of drug and alcohol addiction in Brunswick County. The Anchor Initiative program will provide care, recovery, and treatment for any addict who seeks help from any member of the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office.

Why This Project Was Chosen: Wanted to support something local that helped educate and rehab people affected by drug and alcohol addiction.

Who This Project Impacted: People of Brunswick County who have been affected by drug and alcohol addiction, who in other ways don’t have the funds to go to rehab themselves.

Results of Project: Multiple people in Brunswick County have been put through drug/alcohol rehab, who otherwise wouldn’t have been able to afford it or known it was available.
